Annunciation of Mary A Significant Image in the Christian Theology Essay
Annunciation of Mary A Significant Image in the Christian Theology - Essay Example This article will discuss in detailà the image of Annunciation of Mary, starting from the story as given in "Protoevangelium of James" and moving on to later time periods. This writing will take a look at this particular picture of Mary as it gradually develops through the ages and represents her gradual rise in the minds and beliefs of Christian theology. It will also focus on the aspect of representing the perpetual virginity of Mary through this image of ââ¬ËAnnunciation of Maryââ¬â¢ to allay the fears in the minds of the orthodox creed. Early Christian literature that is of the imaginative type and tells us stories of a religious nature are known as the apocryphal gospels. These were first written in the second century and a certain variation of these apocryphal scriptures are known as ââ¬Ëproto-gospelsââ¬â¢ which give us the first pictures of Mary, right from her birth. One of these proto-gospels, known as the ââ¬Å"Protevangelium of Jamesâ⬠, is supposedly written by James, son of Joseph, from his first marriage, and dates even prior to that of Lukeââ¬â¢s gospel. Here in James gospel, we get a beautiful picture of Maryââ¬â¢s Annunciation with the archangel Gabriel, described by Knight, as, ââ¬Å"And she took the pitcher, and went out to fill it with water. And, behold, a voice saying:à Hail, you who have receivedà grace; theà Lord is with you;à blessedà are you amongà women! And she looked around, on the right hand and on the left, to see whence this voice came. And she went away, tre mbling, to her house, and put down the pitcher; and taking the purple, she sat down on her seat, and drew it out. And, behold, anà angelà of theà Lordà stood before her, saying:à Fearà not,à Mary; for you have foundà graceà before theà Lordà of all, and you shall conceive, according to His word. And she hearing, reasoned with herself, saying: Shall I conceive by theà Lord, the livingà God?

Managing information centre in health sector Essay
Managing information centre in health sector - Essay Example The comparison of information management in the health sector as compared to any other organization leads us to notice that apart from the very ââ¬Ëimportanceââ¬â¢ of information management and the urgent ââ¬Ëneedââ¬â¢ of it in the health sector it works pretty much in the same way. The health sector competes within itself with various institutions just like any other organizations, the aim is to increase the efficiency or to increase the value of the work done at a lesser cost, and most of it is a duplicate of what other organizations employ. But what is different is the mass sharing of information in a productive manner in order to improve social health overall and speed up the diagnosis to treatment ratio. While other organizations mostly share a major part of their information within itself out of competition, the health sector doesnââ¬â¢t. All of its focus is on the treatment of the patients and of course, the revenue generated regardless of which medical organiza tions do not hold back crucial information. What currently the information management centers are focusing upon is termed as a paradigm shift which may be elaborated by saying that the main effort is upon providing better quality at a relatively lower cost. A specialist in this particular area, Joel Barker (1992) states about paradigm that it is: A set of rules and regulations (written or unwritten) that does two things; (1) it establishes and defines boundaries; and (2) it tells you how to behave inside the boundaries in order to be successful.
